Our wedding
Itinerary and information
We have the use of our wedding venue from Friday the 18th of September to lunchtime on Monday the 21st of September. The wedding itself will take place on Saturday the 19th, but you are welcome to join us for as much or as little as you like.
Please keep checking back, as we will continue to update this section with more information. At the moment it's all we could do to get the venue booked! But as we firm up numbers (send us your RSVP via the contact form!) we'll organise catering and entertainment.
Our story
We have chosen to have a day dedicated to creating happy memories, having fun, and sharing something special with people we care about. We would love to have you come along and be part of what we hope to be an amazing weekend.
Venue
Eggbeer Farm comprises of mediaeval buildings, a thatched cottage, beautiful gardens, and is set on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. It has everything needed on site, so no need to travel between ceremony and celebrations.
Facilities
There are gardens, a heated outdoor pool, tennis court, a games room, poolhouse, and a selection of different accomodations on-site. Please use the RSVP contact form if you have any questions, or if you need any help.
The boring stuff
The rental of the venue means that we have to stick to a few rules, and be respectful to the buildings, surroundings, and considerate to neighbours. We are also bound by a fairly hefty security deposit, so we please ask you can keep in mind the following:
- Tennis shoes only on the tennis court
- Kids must always be supervised when using the pool
- The pool will be out of use during the wedding ceremony and celebrations
- The venue provides a fully serviced bar, and caterers will provide alcohol. Please do not drink your own alcohol, or we will be subject to a big penalty!
- Please park in the designated area
- Only those who are staying in the main house are permitted to enter (due to insurance requirements)
- Although we have to fulfil certain requirements to make the wedding legal we are not having a formal wedding! There is no dress code, and the main objective is for everyone to have a great time. Please be as formal or casual as you wish.
